CBI Partners (Cross Border Implementation) has its roots in the management of rapidly growing and changing international businesses. We have experienced first-hand while working in management positions, the need for teams to grow, adapt and acquire the skills required by new circumstances and have built high-performance, multinational teams from scratch. Since our foundation in 2006 we have supported many organisations in the successful operational implementation of their strategies.

2012 a year of challenges 

In 2012 we see a pressing need for companies to help their global teams to become even more agile and dynamic than in the past. Although the Sword of Damocles of a debt crisis continues to hang over us, there are opportunities for growth and expansion like seldom before.

These opportunities are open to any company willing to look for them. CBI has been following and supporting the big M&A trend in Asia (inbound and outbound) and was able to support and initiate several transactions in 2011. For the future we see a growing trend towards strategic alliances and partnerships as M&A transactions often result in the dominance of one side which endangers the original business case.

Representations of companies

We also see a rising trend of companies wanting either to expand their businesses in Asia or Japan or looking for new models in which they can cover a market using representatives or interim managers. CBI has increased its activity in the area of representation and interim-management significantly in 2010/2011 and will continue to grow in this area.

Human Resource – the most critical factor for success

The most critical global resource is the Human Resource. To find, keep and grow motivated staff is becoming crucial for the positioning of organisations. CBIs’ HR specialists have helped many companies in 2011 to stabilise their teams and to increase the performance of multi-cultural organisations. Staff turnover has decreased and motivation increased and, importantly this has happened within measurable, controlled processes, in which individuals get the personal coaching which any professional who is expected to excel needs.
